Play All Day
Every morning when I wake,
I ask my mom for a pancake.
With butter, syrup and bananas,
Sometimes it drips on my pajamas.
Mom helps me dress for my new day,
Then I choose how I can play!
So many things that I could do,
Play with my cars or my toy zoo.
Blocks and bricks are always fun,
But so is drawing, I can’t pick one!
I think I’ll ask to go outside,
Where mom can seek and I can hide.
The summer sun is shinning bright,
I could play all day and night.
After all this fun we’ll settle down,
Now let’s go build a little town.
With all my toys we pretend,
A special world that we live in.
Then she reads my favorite story,
A man, a truck and a safari.
All that playing is the best,
But now I’m tired, time to rest.
I guess I got to do it all,
I thought that it would take til fall!
I sure love when you let me choose,
Mom, you’re the best and I love you.
